The cylindrical positioning bolster is a versatile model, designed to offer focused and precise anatomical support for specific curves of the body. Its cylindrical shape and dimensions (46 cm long by 14 cm in diameter) make it ideal for various positioning and pressure relief applications.
Indications
- Cervical Support (Neck): Placed under the nape of the neck when lying on your back, it fills the space of the cervical lordosis, relaxing the neck muscles and keeping the airways and spine aligned.
- Lumbar Support: Used behind the back while sitting in a chair or sofa, it helps maintain the natural curvature of the lumbar region, preventing pain and poor posture.
- Relief Under the Knees: Positioned under the knees when lying on your back, it reduces tension in the lumbar region and hip joint, in addition to promoting leg relaxation.
- Heel Elevation: Placed under the ankles, it helps to suspend the heels slightly above the mattress to prevent the appearance of bedsores (pressure ulcers) and alleviate swelling.
- Support in Physiotherapy and Pilates: Widely used as an accessory for positioning, passive stretching, and mobility exercises.
