Mallet Finger Immobilisation Splint | EMO
The IF010 Interphalangeal Immobilization Splint is an orthopedic support made of molded polyethylene (a lightweight, rigid, and resistant plastic). Designed to fit the shape of the finger perfectly, it features integrated fastening straps that facilitate adjustment. Its function is to keep the finger joints completely straight (in extension), ensuring safe and comfortable recovery. Easy to put on and take off, it can be adjusted and removed in seconds, making finger hygiene easier. Fully moldable, it adapts to the anatomical shape of any finger and to different degrees of swelling, and is very light and discreet: it does not weigh down the hand and allows the rest of the fingers to move freely.
Indications
- Highly recommended for the treatment and recovery of mallet finger: a very common injury where the tip of the finger remains "drooped" due to a ruptured tendon.
- Fractures and cracks in the finger bones (phalanges).
- Sprains, dislocations, or twists in the interphalangeal joints.
- Post-surgical processes or immobilization after deep cuts with tendon damage.
How it works
Immobilization in extension: the rigid plastic shape prevents the finger from bending, keeping the fingertip and middle joints fully extended and immobile so that the tissues can heal. Quick fastening: includes closure straps that wrap around the finger, allowing you to secure and adjust the splint's pressure quickly and safely, without the need for bandages or pharmacy adhesive tape. Easy adaptation: the plastic is anatomically pre-molded, making the product easy and practical to put on or take off daily.
